German residents of senior standing, he is treated as an Officer

and is allowed the privilege of Officers' quarters.

A report was published in the Manila papers to

the effect that Mr. Bune had been tried by Court Martial in Hong-

-kong and had been shot. It would seem probable that this report

has reached Germany.
